Alright, been out here a year now.
Time to get back in contact with ya'll.

I realise full well that minimal contact with everyone in Aus has been held up by me, this was semi-planned though.
You see, I wanted some time to think about what's going on (whole year of thinking woo), without still trying to maintain contacts back in Aus at the same time.

So now, as I near the end of my time here (should be flying back to Aus around early Feb) it's time to re-immerse myself in my former life.

So, I request that you Australites that still deign to give my journal audience(/give a damn), tell me what you're all up to. Do it now.

At the moment, I myself (having been back from the U.S for some time now, apologies for the lack of notification) have been up to the following;

1. Moved in with Karen, things going pretty well there.

2. Back to working old job, assembling security camera housings (fuck off hardcore cameras they are)

3. Chilling about the place.

4. Raving whenever possible.

That's about all for now, you can probably expect me to be popping up a little more frequently now.

Ok. Yeah, haven't updated ya'll in a while.

Moved out of Waterloo to Kingston (Norbiton) for my last couple of weeks in England before I head to the U.S for 6 weeks.

Scummy little place (the owner hoardes.....everything he can get his hands on) but very cheap.

Will be visiting peoples in Mesa, Arizona for 6 weeks. Flying out on the 3rd Aug, returning Sep 17 (to London).

Ok, on my way to work I pass by this cool looking building in Vauxhall.

Security around the building is uber tight, at least 3 cams every 10 metres, more cams up the top of the building aimed at surround areas, spiked walls/fences, guards, etc...

No signs around the building except the address, Vauxhall Cross 85.

Naturally curiousity builds and I start contemplating how to ninja my way in to find out what they do. Natural laziness genes kick in and I google it instead.

First Torture Garden over and done with :D that was a hell of a ride.

Just got informed that I've been accepted into a shared room in central London.

The bedroom window opens up to a view of the London Eye and Big Ben.

The flat is shared with 2 other people, of which I'm sharing with an italian guy.

Pricey, but in a perfect location for my new job in the city.

It's suprising to find out what you're a member of. I for one found at least 4 sites that I was still a member of, including *shudder* myspace.

I recomend you go through and sweep your horrible past under the rug before someone else googles your address. Hehehehehe.

A couple of interesting ideas/sayings have been brought to my attention recently by various Londoners. The best 2 are as follows:

Fat Slag Rodeo -

In England (and probably everywhere around the world) there are some really large/ugly girls that go out clubbing and think/act like they're really hot/slim/what every guy wants. These girls are commonly known as "Fat Slags".

The competition known as "Fat Slag Rodeo" comes into play when you and at least one other mate go to a club and locate the biggest, ugliest slags you can. (Bear in mind; these aren't the shy/nice large/ugly girls. These are the real skanks.)

Upon locating aforementioned "fat slags", you and your mate ask one each if they would like to dance. Most of the time they'll agree.

After dancing for a short while you and your mate exchange confirming nods and the challenge begins. Getting as firm a grip around your chosen "fat slag" as you can, you must then lean in close and tell them (exact wording) "You are the fattest, ugliest slag I have ever seen."

The now extremely pisssed of "fat slag" will obviously attempt to get you off of her by any means possible so that she may commence beating the shit out of you. Not dissimilar to normal rodeo rules, the object of the competition is to then stay attached for as long as possible.

The winner of the competition is the person who manages to maintain their grip for the longest, and is thereby entitled to the pre-agreed rewards (usually free drinks for the rest of the night).

**Warning: Fat Slag rodeo is a dangerous, contact sport and all injuries incurred during competition will be worth a giggle or 2.**

Whew... so many things have happened recently, it's all a bit of a rush.

Can't believe I've been here for nearly 5 weeks now.

In my quest for people to go out and about with, I managed to find some people who invited me to join them for a drink in a place called Devonshire Arms (a goth/alternative pub in Camden).

Decided to get to Camden some hours earlier than our 9pm meetup as I'd heard that Camden was "the" place to be for alternative/goth culture.

My god...

Expensive yet awesome, Camden is my new favourite suburb of London. If any of you ever travel here, make sure you get to Camden at some point.

I've noticed a lot of people seem to be reaching some form of finality in their recent LJ posts.

Could it be that people are finally coming to accept themselves and the lives they live?
It's possible.

I, myself have had some interesting thoughts recently regarding my life.

A thought occured to me when I woke the other day, and this thought has grown rapidly over the days, and mutated into something quite fascinating.

For the first time in my life I've come across an idea that I can see myself following for the rest of my life.

I'm not yet sure if this is the idea that I've been looking for, as it isn't fully formed yet, and implementing it would be extremely difficult and to some people, very controversial...

This could be huge. This could be it. This could be mine.

I may elaborate later.

I'm here finally. Well.. I have been here for about 2 weeks now :P

Jesus time flies.

The flight(s) was/were a bitch. Far too damn long. But on the plus side I managed to force myself to sleep during what was Londons night-time whilst on the plane. If that makes any sense.

London is pretty nuts so many people smoke over here, and so many young mothers about. Apparently single mother benefits include free housing in a projects style flat. Free housing just for having a kid.

Other than that London is pretty damn cool, so many more people, excellent public transport (the underground rail hammers along :O ). I've started work at the "Cock and Bull" pub which is run by my sister and her b/f, located in the suburb of Sutton. Learning how to get the heads just right on the beers was tricky, as well as the all important "don't spill any frickin guinness!" rule.

The pub is right on a corner of the High street in Sutton which is always active. One massive long street with all the shops you need on it (inc; nightclubs, pubs, etc...).

It's weird, I've actually been sleeping really well since I got here. Is this what freedom from a normal life does for you?

I'm sitting in the Bandar Seri Airport in Brunei, tacked onto their kindly provided WIFI access ^^

Getting off a 5 hour flight and knowing you're boarding an 18 hour one in a little while is not fun.
Flew through some storm clouds on the way, which looked pretty kickass.

Soooo..... 1 week to go.

Hmmm.

This point in time is probably the most disturbed I've ever felt. I keep forgetting things and spacing out all the time, because I'm constantly thinking about when I go.

Packing my room up so it's ready to clear out if need be, already started saying goodbye to some people I'll most likely never see again, etc.... Lots of stuff to do.

I don't know what's going to happen, or what I'm going to do on my journey. I guess I'll just take it as it comes.

Ok, so it's pretty much a given now that I will be staying in London (or some other parts of Britain) for longer than the 2 months i'm supposed to be staying for.

For those of you that don't know, my plan is to work in Britain (woo 2 year work visa) and use the money I make to travel during those 2 years. Once that visa has expired, I hope to get one for another country and use that money to continue travelling intermitently. Rinse and repeat until I find my place in this world or get fucking bored. Anyway, I digress.

What I've found, in my continuous thinking sessions regarding travelling possibly for the rest of my life, is that I have fear. This comes as a suprise to me because I've never really feared anything and, as such, have analysed this fear to see what it's basis is.

What I've discovered is that it's not actually me that fears travel. It's the part of me that's been brought up to believe in the standard values of "Get a full-time job, get a house, get married, have kids, blah blah blah" and not in-fact the real me.

Fear conquered. Screw you mundane part of me. I'm going. Possibly never coming back.... well maybe for visits.

World.... BRING THIS SHIT ON!

PS: Incidently; I leave on the 21st of Nov, which of course demands that I have a large "fuck-off Dante" party on Nov 18th at Happie Command. All must attend. No excuses. I may never see some of you again.
